A wide variety of sustainability measures have been taken at the CCH.

Gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB):
The CCH is a very sustainable convention center. CCH - Congress Center Hamburg is the first, and thus far, the only existing German convention center to earn Gold certification in the Revitalization category from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). This is the highest-level DGNB sustainability certification awarded to an existing convention building to date.

Furthermore, the operators of the CCH - Congress Center Hamburg are committed to doing business in a responsible and sustainable manner. We base this commitment on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals to equally account for business, ecological and social causes.
